How much does a website cost in New Jersey?
The short answer
Most New Jersey small-business websites we build cost $3,500–$8,000. A simple 5-page site sits at the low end; sites with many service and town pages, booking, or custom features cost more. Ecommerce stores usually start around $6,000.
Updated October 2026 · Prices are NJ Website Designers' own ranges.
What drives the price
- Number of pages: each service and town page needs its own content.
- Custom design vs. a template.
- Features: booking, quote calculators, ecommerce, integrations.
- Content: whether you supply text and photos or we write and shoot them.
- SEO setup and migration from an old site.
Our packages
- Starter: 5 pages, one service area, $3,500–$5,000.
- Business: 8–10 pages, several towns, $5,000–$8,000.
- Ecommerce: from $6,000.
- Custom features: quoted after a scoping call.
Ongoing costs to budget for
- Domain and hosting.
- Care plan for updates, backups and security (ours from $99/month).
- SEO if you want the site to bring in leads, not just exist (from $750/month).
How to avoid overpaying
- Ask who owns the site, domain and logins: it should be you.
- Ask for a fixed price and a written scope.
- Check that redirects from your old site are included.
